Chris was called to the Bar in 2002, after receiving a Bachelor of Applied Science Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Waterloo and a Bachelor of Laws Degree from the University of Windsor in 2001. Chris passed the Canadian Patent Agents’ exam in 2006 and qualified as a registered Canadian Trade-mark Agent in 2009.  He practiced IP law with a boutique firm and also with a full-service National law firm in Toronto before moving back to Huntsville in 2012 to set up his own practice.

Chris has extensive experience in all aspects of Intellectual Property including patents, trade-marks, industrial designs, and copyright. Chris has extensive experience in drafting and prosecuting Canadian Patent Applications and providing clients with opinions on issues of patentability and freedom to operate. Chris regularly advises clients on trade-mark matters including availability for use and registration in Canada as well as preparation, filing and prosecution of Canadian trade-mark applications.

Since opening his practice in Huntsville, Chris has expanded his practice and provides legal services in Real Estate Law, and Wills and Estates Law.
